Piu' di 230 atleti in rappresentanza di 35 diverse nazioni si confronteranno nella distanza di 100 km in occasione del Campionato del Mondo 100 km (25^edizione) ed Europeo (20^edizioni) che si terra' a Winschoten (NED), il prossimo 10 settembre, con l-aggiunta del Campionato del Mondo Master (patrocinato e promosso dalla WMA - World masters Athetics). Ricordiamo che il giorno 8, a partire dalle ore 9.00 presso il Viillaggio Atleti a Pagend, si svolgerä' una Conferenza Medica sugli aspetti nutrizionali e ul loro ruolo nelle ultramaratone, subito seguioto dalla Conferenza stampa che presentera'l-evento nei dettagli a tutti i partecipanti e ai giornalisti.

There are more than 230 athletes representing 35 countries that will be toeing the line at the 25th ediiton of these championships. There will also be a Masters event that will be run concurrently with the world championships. This is done in collaboration with the World Masters Athletics.
Please also note that we will have a Medical Conference: "Nutrition and its role in Ultrarunning" organized on Sept 9th 2011 (9am-11am) at the Athletes Village. This will precede the Media Conference (11am-12pm). Both events are open to all members (athletes,coaches, support staff) of the participating federations and interested local ultrarunning enthusiasts.

The next major event after the 100km worlds is the Commonwealth Championships. IAU is supporting the Commonwealth Mountain and Ultradistance Running Championships (Sept 23-25) that has two ultrarunning races (24 hours and 54km trails) being organized in North Wales.
