Sono disponibili sul sito ufficiale della IAU i link che portano ai risultati completi e definitivi del Campionato del Mondo (+Europeo) Iau 100 km che ha avuto luogo a Winschoten tra il 12 e il 13 settembre 2015.

Il cambiamento sostanziale nella classifica a squadre maschile (mondiale ed europea) è stato determinato dal fatto che un componente della squadra maschile russa (Vasily Larkin) non indossava l'uniforme regolamentare della squadra russa, come segnalato ufficialmente, e che pertanto non era facilmente riconoscibile come appartenente al team in corso di gara.

La decisione arbitrale tuttavia non ha avuto alcun peso nel modificare i risultati individuali ma solo quelli della classifica a squadre, con un provvedimento che ha portato la squadra russa in quinta posizione.

There was a protest about a single athlete in the Russian team to the Race Referee which was upheld by the Jury of Appeal after the race before the final results were certified. (Statement here) This results in the athlete’s performance for the team race being rendered invalid and the Russian team’s aggregate score corrected to place them fifth.

REPORT OF THE JURY OF APPEAL
IAU 100km WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
12 September 2015

1. The team from FRA lodged a protest with the IAU Referee against the team (men) from RUS, for breaching IAU Rule 8.1 (which is similar in all material respects with IAAF Rule 143.1), in that some of their team members did not all wear the kit approved by their federation.

2. It was made clear, after clarification by the IAU Referee, that the protest was against the team result and not the individual runner result.

3. From the evidence before the jury and their own observations, it was clear that at least one member of the RUS men’s team, (Vasily Larkin) did not compete in recognised federation kit.

4. The RUS team did not advise the IAU or the LOC of any problems with their team kit before or during the race.

5. The jury was unanimous that there was a contravention of IAU Rule 7 (IAAF Rule 143.1), and that the athletes in question who were not correctly attired should be removed from the team result.

6. This will result in the RUS athlete being removed from the team result.

7. Accordingly, the decision of the jury of appeal is that:

a. As the protest was not against the individual results, they are unaffected.

IAU has offiicially formatted their response in reference to the disturance caused by the management of the Russian Federation.
The IAU Executive Council has reported the incident to the Russian Federation who will organize an investigation. This matter will be further discussed with the President and the General Secretary further at the occassion of the Convention of the European Athleics to be held in Lausanne in mid october.
